Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit city is soon getting its own tiger reserve. It would be the third tiger reserve at Pilibhit and the 45th in India.

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has banned the burning of tyres. The ruling will ensure burning of tyres in public places such as roads and areas around residential buildings. The Society of Earth Scientists (SES) is organizing a Multidisciplinary National Conference on “Science of Climate change and Earth’s Sustainability: Issues and Challenges” on scientists-people partnership basis at Lucknow from 12-14 Sept., 2011. You are invited to participate in the conference and present your research work on the related topic. We are expecting a good gathering of eminent scientists and leaders supporting the cause of the SES. Your presence and active participation will provide us strength and support. Limited travel grant may also be provided to non-funded participants depending upon quality of their work.
