About me
In her current position, Sarah O’Brien of the Green Electronics Council assists purchasers, manufacturers, consumers and merchants of electronics to use the EPEAT system to identify, promote and purchase ‘green’ electronics. As EPP Program Manager for H2E (Hospitals for a Healthy Environment), and Senior Outreach Associate with INFORM, Ms. O’Brien assisted health systems, Group Purchasing Organizations, states, cities and businesses to improve environmental performance through purchasing initiatives. Previously, as an environmental health advocate for the National Wildlife Federation and Vermont PIRG, she was involved throughout the Northeast United States in legislative advocacy and public education efforts around toxics reduction issues. She is a graduate of Yale University and Temple University and is a former board member of the National Pollution Prevention Roundtable.
My Green Mission
I work with the Green Electronics Council to support market based solutions to reducing the environmental impact of electronic products and enhancing the ability of the ICT sector to support sustainability. Overall, my work has focused on assisting large purchasing institutions to leverage their purchasing power to reward companies that provide environmentally sustainable solutions.

EPEAT One Year Anniversary in India

The one year anniversary of the launch of the EPEAT green electronics rating system in India was recognized today by Green Electronics Council, their Indian partners CII and MAIT, and EPEAT manufacturer participants.
