In our company we are plan to dispose our waste into pyrolysis process.

Kindly tell about the pyrolysis process and advantages & disadvantages of this process.

Can you specify what kind of waste you are planning to treat?  Also what is the quantity of waste that is generated, stored, segregated, etc. and is available for treatment.    Is there any hazardous element in the waste? Has any one done composition analysis of the waste?

Plz indicate generic nature of materials in the waste. This to predict (roughly) the contents in the pyrolysate. Pyrolysis is not recommended unless the pyrolysates are usefully recovered or captured.

This is highly appreciable technique, where the process conditions are maintained such that it eliminates the possibility of formation of toxic dioxins and
furans molecules (in case of chlorinated waste).The conversion of organic waste into non toxic gases
(CO2, H2O) is more than 99 %.But at the same time this technique is highly sophisticated and very expensive. It has high maintenance cost as well.

Hi,

Rubber waste is a good source of energy. You should go for co-processing of wastes by nearby cement/ steel units. Co-processing of wastes is also good techniques for utilization of wastes for energy recovery. You may get details of such Cement plants from CPCB or SPCB.

It may be a good technology to get rid of waste however,we must also understand the environmental implications of the waste pyrolysis if the air emissions are not properly treated before their release in to atmosphere.It should not so happen that medicine(pyrolysis) is costlier than the disease(waste material).you must study all the aspects of getting rid of the waste mentioned in your post.
