the people centric methodology is crucial and incorporation of society is key the success of the any programme weather conservation or development.

Could you specify "Methodology of Biological conservation plan" or "Biodiversity conservation plan"??

For "biodiversity conservation", general methodology are in-situ and ex-situ

where the scenario is different for flora and fauna

In-situ is generally undertaken by Government bodies (National Park, Wildlife sanctuary)

Other sectors such as NGOs and private bodies can spread awareness of the RET species

prevailing in the area (such as 'save tiger', habitat of King cobra, importance of Ganga dolphin,

awareness of Himalayan fox, Tahr, etc); can contribute in the ongoing conservation plan

Ex-situ method is also practiced by Government bodies (Zoo, aquarium, butterfly park, etc) or can be by

others organisations such as research institutions (captive breeding, field gene bank, etc)

For Flora conservation examples can be Botanical garden, Arboretum, even avenue plantation, etc

Generally as a methodology for flora conservation, it is "mass plantation" of RET plant species

The ground truth is that the survival is very low as the plantation is undertaken outside the original

        habitat

and the achievement of 100 individuals survival (per species) is far from reality.

Currently Our organization is proposing biodiversity park around Smelting unit of Hindustan Zn,

and the methodology is a compilation of various experiments undertaken in Bangalore climate

I want to know your phrase "relevance on grounds" means ...... Is it the factors we are considering

such as soil characteristics, irrigation intensity, method of treatments, or ???

i am very thankful you spare time to write..i would like to bring your notice that, i am very specifically concerned about the conservation plan (CP) that usaully an EIA consultant firm proposes to xyz EIA report

generally what happens the plan they proposes are of very generic in nature except few, and are of practically not relevant. like if National Park/sanctuary which is habitat of many RET animals, coming in EIA study radius of your project.

So, do we think we can prepare a site specific conservation plan?

if we prepare is it would we an isolated activity?

if an isolated activity we proposes is it have any practical relevance on ground?

and many more

in relation to birds it is ok to provide habitat at & around your site your.

my only concern is that / whatever we propose it should we in relation to the site....i personally think all time we not require to propose conservation plan..

we can propose to add our contribution in ongoing conservation plan activities rather creating new...

Dear Pawan,

It is true that it is hard to accept site specific conservation plan

if it is not relevant on ground

To undertake awareness program of RET species to the executive is

also comes under conservation initiative; as well displaying card (large photo print) of RET species in the project site also contributes your initiative in the field;

Proposing and constructing water point for birds and animals, arrangement of food source such as feeding site (grain, cereals, fodders, etc,) or plantation of plant species for food source (fruit, leaves, also flower for nectarine bird, etc) ... all contribute to conservation and management

For example, due to law and litigation we cannot undertake any activity involving the captivity of birds and animal.. so the best way in the Industrial and corporate level of conservation is --- to give maximum effort in creation of Biodiversity Park (only trees) around and vicinity of the project site with specific species which are endemic, endangered in the area (state wise), with additional bird attractive species,  species attracted by butterfly; including those which are important in the regional context (India) (starting with deciduous and later incorporation of evergreen)

The main idea is -- Once the home is created, displaced species (birds and animal) due to the project will come back.

I hope this is helpful for your project at least for some extend

If you need further design and Park program (year wise), arboretum creation, suggestion and supply of species, design for plantation for high establishment, .. we are offering full time support..

you can hire our service in the future

thanks
