Everyday a new guideline pop's, the job of getting the clearances has become an uphill task. I think the project proponents should realize and the consulting cost should go hand in hand.

The matter is known to us for the last few years. A building has come up in Cochin with 40 floors (more than 120 m). EAC at MoEF declines permission. After that the government represented to raise the limit of height at the pressure of builders. (Earlier EAC conducted a visit some time in 2008-2009, heard parties and held discussions with fire dept. and decided to grant clearance up to 60 m.) The 40-floor building is not occupied. Let us wait and see the power of environmental acts and rules.
