am a geologist by profession. I am associated with mining industry for more than three decades now.

Currently I am heading Geovale Services (www.geovale.com), a team of consultants working globally in the domains of mineral exploration, mining, hydrology and hydrogeology and sustainable development services for mining


My profession has taken me to almost every nook and corner of India (I have worked for some duration in 26 different states in India), and to many different parts of the world. Some of the most exciting places of work have been oil exploration in the Arabian Sea, geological mapping and mineral exploration in Assam and Arunachal Himalayas, mineral exploration in the Kimberleys of Australia, in the Arctic Canada and Scandinavia and in the deserts of Sahara and Western Australia.

      The Society of Earth Scientists (SES) is organizing a Multidisciplinary National Conference on “Science of Climate change and Earth’s Sustainability: Issues and Challenges” on scientists-people partnership basis at Lucknow from 12-14 Sept., 2011. You are invited to participate in the conference and present your research work on the related topic. We are expecting a good gathering of eminent scientists and leaders supporting the cause of the SES. Your presence and active participation will provide us strength and support. Limited travel grant may also be provided to non-funded participants depending upon quality of their work.
