Ambient Air Quality of Varanasi

During Monitoring of ambient air quality of Varanasi city I have noted that level of SPM was found above the standards given by CPCB most of the times...

What may be the passible causes???

Gud to know yr concern. Suggestion goes like this: first try to characterise the SPM as well as the background soils , identify the other sources in the vicinity of Varansi and chracterise the dust / PM of those sources . Let me know this then further requirements can be discussed.
