India: Greenhouse Gas Emissions 2007
India becomes the first"non-Annex I" or the developing country to release updated report on Greenhouse gas emission for the year 2007. India's emission was 4 times less than USA and China.
In 2007 net GHG emission was 1727.71 million tons of CO2 equivalent (eq) which comprises of the following:
1221.76 million tons of CO2; 20.56 million tons of CH4 and 0.24 million tons of N2O from all the sectors.
