BRiP-2011: National Students’ Conference on River Basin Planning

The National Ganga River Basin Authority (NGRBA) chaired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India has given the responsibility of preparing the Ganga River Basin Environment Management Plan (GRBEMP) to the Consortia of 7IITs. One of the important tasks of the consortia is to attract young, dynamic and enthusiastic students in order to develop GEN-NEXT human resources for River Basin Planning. In this context, IIT Consortia is organizing National Students’ Conference on River Basin Planning (BRiP-2011) to be held at IIT Kanpur on November 4 – 5, 2011. We are looking forward to students’ participation from your reputed institute. Therefore, we request you to kindly circulate this information among your students and encourage them for participation in the conference. Students interested to participate are required to register online and submit an ‘expression of interest’ (EoI), not less than 200 words, stating their passion for rivers and motivation to attend the conference.  Students can also contribute paper in form of a poster and the subject of paper/poster should be strictly related to river basin planning and management.
