HOW TO APPLY :
i) Eligible and interested candidates would be required to apply online only through HPC’s website
ii) After successful submission of online application by the candidate, a unique registration number shall be generated by the system with the candidate’s details. All candidates are required to download the Application Confirmation form generated by the system and retain with them for future reference.

Important Dates :
1. Downloading of Admit Card for Written Test 20.11.2012 (Tuesday)
2. All India Written Test 09.12.2012 (Sunday)

General Instructions:
(i) Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
(ii) The candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned inthis advertisement.
(iii) All qualifications should be from an Indian Universities recognized by UGC/Institutes recognized byAICTE/ appropriate statutory authority.
(iv) Request for change of mailing address, examination centre, category, discipline as declared in theonline application will not be entertained.
(v) Candidates are advised to keep their E-mail ID (entered in the online application) active for atleastone year. No change in the E-mail ID will be allowed once entered. All correspondence withcandidates shall be done through E-mail only.
(vi) Mere submission of online application form or admission into Written Test, etc. does not imply thatthe Company (HPC) has been satisfied about the candidate’s eligibility. Candidature of a registeredcandidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process
(vii) The OBC candidates who belong to “CREAMY LAYER” are not entitled for OBC concession andsuch candidates have to indicate their category as “General”.
(viii) If the SC/ST/OBC/PwD certificate has been issued in a language other than English / Hindi, thecandidates will be required to submit a self certified translated copy of the same either in English orHindi.
(ix) No TA will be paid to any candidate for appearing in the written examination. However, the shortlistedcandidates called for final interview, will be paid Sleeper Class To and Fro railway fare by theshortest route.
(x) Candidates should retain their copy of Registration Slip as they can be asked to produce it in futurefor reference.
(xi) Candidates employed with Government Departments / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies have to produceNo Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of Interview. If the candidate fails to provide the NOC atthe time of interview, he / she will not be allowed to appear for the interview. Accordingly, no TA willbe paid.
(xii) HPC reserves the right to cancel / restrict / modify / alter the recruitment process, if need so arises,without issuing any further notice or assigning any reasons thereof.
(xiii) Any modifications / amendments in the advertisement will be given in HPC’s websitewww.hindpaper.in . If date of Written Test changes under any unavoidable circumstances, HPC willnot be responsible for any claims by the candidates. Paper is more than an industrial product. It is the cultural barometer of a nation. We need paper every day for widening the frontiers of our knowledge. Yet, the per capita annual consumption of paper at about 4 kgs in India is among the lowest in the world today.HPC is an extended arm of the Union Government to intensify the movement for literacy through the growth of the paper industry. Today it is one of the largest manufacturers of paper and newsprint in South East Asia. Simultaneously, HPC has been playing a dominant role in the socio-economic development of the North-East region.The planned development of the paper industry in India began only in the post-independence period. The growth, however, slowed down in the sixties owing to the escalation of cost and the scarcity of forest-based raw materials. The stagnation led to frequent shortages of cultural varieties of paper, causing hardship to common consumers. There were also the national task of developing the industrially backward regions for balanced socio-economic growth. It was against this background that the Government of India set up the Hindustan Paper Corporation (HPC) on May 29,1970. HPC was entrusted with the task of producing substantial volumes of cultural varieties of paper and newsprint to maintain stability of price in a volatile market. Besides, it was designed to be a catalyst for industrial growth in the North-East.
