Could u plz let us know the details ....

Hi

The usefulness of the programme depends on whether you would be involved in Environmental Management System (ISO-14001) auditing or establishing an EMS in the near future.  Accredited Lead EMS Auditor courses (e.g. IEMA approved courses) follow an internationally accepted syllabus which helps the participant to understand the legal and technical aspects of environmental management, elements of management systems (PDCA) and auditing principles (ISO-19011).  The course is expected to bring out the meaning of each section of ISO-14001 from an auditing angle; hence it helps those who intend to establish an EMS (ISO-14001) system too.  My assessment is that the Accredited Courses cover all important points that an expert should know if he intends to get involved in establishing or auditing an Environmental Management System.

I would suggest that you visit www.iema.net to download the syllabus for the LEAD EMS AUDITOR's Course.  That will help you to decide if such a course is useful to you or not.

With best regards,

Ramakrishnan

Dear Satvik,

This depends on wherher you have to work as an environmental auditor. Or you are already working as an Management Representative in a company and are related to environmental concerns there.

If you plan to become an auditor, it will be mendatory to successfully complete this course.
