Hi can I used this software to cunt noise pollution?

 What is the cost of this software if personally puchased for research in noise pollutio..

Is it MoEF recommended software, and the given software is useful for mining and Thermal and other area development projects

Dear,

It is not freeware at all, you have to procure it from market/NEERI, it is basically used

for predictions of impact due to group of noise sources in the industrial complex (multiple sound sources)

Much appreciated.

However, Dhwani is based on a 16 bit fortran code and runs in DOS mode. Runs on 32 bit environment like XP, but does not work on Vista or 64 bit environment like Win 7. Has there been any 'maintenance' from NEERI's side?  

Beside, there is no comparison between GIS based noise software like Data Caustic, Soundplan, Puma etc. and Dhwani. Lets admit it, its obsolete. Sad, but true. 

As far as MoEF recommended software is concerned it also recommends PTMAX, PTDIS & MPETER but not AERMOD. :)
