Why STP? Why consent? Treat the waste water with 'BIOMAGIC'

without STP and without electricity.  For more details, plz. contact

Dear Mr.Vinay,

There are three aspects to be considered for STPs.

1. Consent is required from State PCB.

2. If the STP is for a local body (meaning that serving a larger population, i.e.outside a private area) also requires public consultation (in case of Tamil Nadu). Many STPs are usually tangled with objection cases.

3. A year back, NGT had issued a judgement (for a PIL against STP location in Haryana) that STPs should be brought under CETP category of EIA notification and hence environmental clearance is to be obtained. No clear instruction is issued by MOEF, however, please clarify with your PCB for their suggestions/guidance.

Does a STP of capacity 20 KLD comes under CETP category?

No need for STP.  Have a masonary rectangular tank (say 20' x 5' x 10')

with two partitions inside (as in septic tanks).  Treat the sewage with

'BIOMAGIC' and reuse the treated water for gardening.

As per my knowledge, for the installation of the sewage treatment plant, for treatment of the wastewater generated from public toilet, the municipal corporation have to get Consent to Establish as well as Consent to Operate from respective State Pollution Control Board.

Sir I have good idea for STP.
Advantages:
1. Minimum space require.
2. Maintenance cost is very low.
3. No sludge.
4. Fully automatic system.
5. Pure aqua drinking water quality after the treatment.
6. Totally under the TNPCB norms.
