Saw ur post on Assessment of solid waste generated at railway station.
There are certain things that you can do...
Ex - you can speak to the station master and ask him to help you out on finding out the contractor who is collecting and taking away the waste from the station.
Then you can ask the contractor to deliver the waste collected in 24 hours to a specific site.
If the volume is too much then select the sample by quartering method.
take a representative sample from the final volume of your choice
say 100 kg or 200 kg.
From this representative sample, segregate on basis of recyclable waste and Non recyclable and other classification like bio degradable and non bio degradable.
this is the basic set of things which can be done.
Please refer to a published journal on ASCE and Science Direct or Springer Link which will tel give u the direction for the project.
