Whose People whose country?

I am in Delhi since September 2008 and worked on surface water pollution in Ghaziabad. Holy River Hindon which is lifeline for about 2 million rural populations, residing in catchment of this river in UP. Ghaziabad is fastest growing industrial city in UP and several hundreds of small scale and large scale industries are situated in this city. National Conference

Science of Climate Change and Earth's Sustainability: Issues and challenges

 (Lucknow, 12-14, September, 2011)

Organized by The Society of Earth Scientists

            The idea of this multidisciplinary conference received overwhelming support; therefore, abstract submission date is extended to 10 July’11 for those who are willing to participate.

Detailed Themes:

1. Climatic changes in the geological history and impact on Earth.

2. Imprints of Quaternary and recent climatic change as studied in glacial and fluvial systems.

3. Anthropogenic Vs Atmospheric causes of climate change.

4. Indian Monsoon and Climate change.

5. Natural resource management- surface and ground water, agriculture, mineral and fuel wealth.

6. Environmental pollution, Solid-waste management etc.

7. Impact on ecology.

8. Sustainable and renewable energy resources.

9. Climate policies and laws; International status.

Venue:

Malaviya Hall, Lucknow University Campus

Registration:

Fee: Rs. 500.00

        Rs. 200.00 (students)

Registration Fee may also be paid at the counter on inauguration day subject to prior confirmation of participation.

Travel Grant:

Limited fund is allocated for supporting travel/ local hospitality for non-supported participants and eminent speakers/emeritus scientists and research students.

Local Hospitality:

We will try to provide local hospitality to non-funded participants as far as funds permit. Local transport will be provided to all.

You are invited to participate, exchange views and present research work at Multidisciplinary National Conference on “Science of Climate change and Earth’s Sustainability: Issues and Challenges” on scientists-people partnership basis at Lucknow from 12-14 Sept., 2011 organised by The Society of Earth Scientists constituted to bring scientists of all the domains of earth science (including environmental scientists) and people at large together. Limited travel grant may also be provided to non-funded participants depending upon quality of their work.
