About me
I am an Environmental Sciences and Engineering professional with 55+ years of experience in my profession. Received my Ph.D. from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, worked as a faculty member of Cornell Univ., worked also as an Adjunct Prof at Illinois Institute of Technology, and after working at the Met. Wat. Recl. Disct of Grtr. Chicago retired as the Head of Environmental Monitoring and Research. Currently I am the Executive Director of the Center for Transformation of Waste Technology, a nonprofit organization. Currently serving as the President of Bharathi Theertha, a nonprofit organization to improve the education, environment, and health of the poor in India. Also, a member of Rotary Club of Naperville, IL and actively working on projects that benefit India and other developing countries. Also consults with municipalities, industries, and other international organizations. Coauthored four books and published numerous reports and papers.

What do you folks think about Hon. CM Modi's idea to create more employment opportunities in the Vapi Industrial Complex, Vapi, Gujarat, and let new industries to be built and expand the existing industries to manufacture toxic chemicals and operate on a "good faith" philosophy of self monitoring any pollutant releases.  As you may know, the Damanganga river into which a common effluent treatment plant discharges its effluent is already heavily polluted.
