- The Climate Himalaya is a voluntary initiative of a Coalition of people and organizations. The initiative advocates for an obligatory reform in the present environment governance system in the Himalayan Mountains of India. The purpose of this initiative initially is, to develop a scientific 'Knowledge Resource Hub' on various environment and climate change issues in the Himalayan Mountains of India. It also intends to develop a strong and vibrant network of people and organizations in the Himalayan region, to learn and share their experiences and expertise to advocate for Sustainable Mountain Development. http://www.moutainenvironment.org

Dear Sir/Madam,
The Society of Earth Scientists (SES) is organizing a Multidisciplinary National Conference on “Science of Climate change and Earth’s Sustainability: Issues and Challenges” on scientists-people partnership basis at Lucknow from 12-14 Sept., 2011. The circular of the conference is attached for your information. You are invited to participate in the conference and present your research work on the related topic. We are expecting a good gathering of eminent scientists and leaders supporting the cause of the SES. Your presence and active participation will provide us strength and support. Limited travel grant may also be provided to non-funded participants depending upon quality of their work.
The abstract submission date is 30th June’11.
