My Green Mission: The economic, legal and institutional links between international trade flows and the environment have captured growing attention over the last two decades, especially in the aftermath of the Uruguay Round of multilateral trade negotiations.

The link between 'trade and environment' largely arises from the links between development and environment. There lies the need of a 'happy marriage' between these two phenomenons at the international level to achieve the objectives of the sustainable development. International Rules should ensure that the trade and environmental regimes are 'mutually supportive'.

Area of Expertize/ interest: International Trade Law/WTO Issues, International Environmental Law & Policy, Contentious Trade & Environment Issues under WTO, International Economic Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Labour Laws and Human Rights, International Human Rights Law and Institutions, India-Japan Economic and Trade Relations in the Globalized era, Corporate Governance & Business Law, European Union/India Issues etc.

You are invited to participate, exchange views and present research work at Multidisciplinary National Conference on “Science of Climate change and Earth’s Sustainability: Issues and Challenges” on scientists-people partnership basis at Lucknow from 12-14 Sept., 2011 organised by The Society of Earth Scientists constituted to bring scientists of all the domains of earth science (including environmental scientists) and people at large together. Limited travel grant may also be provided to non-funded participants depending upon quality of their work.
