 The Project Proponents failed to address the importance of Storm water Management while establishing their Project.This resulting to flooding of their own Site as well the neighbouring areas.Chennai floods indicates a good lesson.

Similar case was observed in Varanasi, where JNNURM project of MoUD for storm water drainage was completed in 2014. The city is still facing the problem of water logging in more than 60 points.

Noida and Gurgaon flood and resultant traffic woes are good indicators to change the basics that are being followed...

Recent rains in many places has caused havoc on many main roads, including cities like Bangalore, Gargaon, Hyderbad, even few minutes of downpour will have traffic jams for hours due to accumulation of water on roads, movement of vehicles get restricted. Hence all municipalities and state government should adopt proper storm water management while planning city roads.

   The problems are because of poor engineering approach with out studying the catchment area as awhole through reputed institutions.Storm water mNgement is a primary requirements to safe guard the life  and properties.Seperate institution shall be set up by the govt with regional set up to plan long term requirements

I think metros were least affected by this heavy downpour, the developers can learn from metro how to manage the storm water...
