Dear Manish,

Appreciable move.... in my knowledge it is the very new concept. I came across only few Research Work on E-Waste and fortunately in one of the National Conference in CTAE, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India in 2009 I found one of the engineering students who presented a paper and his work on E-waste. I will try to get that paper and send you.....

All the best...

hi!

To help you in this regards, I would like like to know, what kind of business you have thought of? ..is it collecting various kinds of e waste and giving it to third party in lumpsum (Acting as a mediator), or going to set up a recycling or recovery plant (as owner)? Which area and sector you have targeted?

Majority of the information regarding this available on net.

Anyways, all the best!

Regards,
Chandani

Mr. Manish,

Very Important points put up by Chandani. You need to give them a very deep thought because they are much more relevant in Indian context.

Moreover, I have myself studied in lot of detail the e-waste recycling market and gathered a lot of information on this. Please get in touch with me on email : apoorv.ict@gmail.com and discuss in detail.

I would be more than willing to help you in your venture.

Yours Sincerely,

Hi Manish,

Before you start your business on E-Waste, please make a survey of the existing facilities and their financial condition. In my assessment quite a few big guys are already there with capacity and without much of "E-Waste". Even if the E-Waste (M&H) Rule comes into force soon, I doubt if enough E waste will be available for Waste Management units (say Recycling Units) to help them to sustain themselves. Don't forget that Municipalities and other governmental bodies are also trying to set up e-waste facilities.

Please don't consider the above as scaring; I am just bringing to your notice the situation on the ground. Unless you have a strong business backing you will find it difficult to make money and survive in the long run.

For more information on the e-waste recyclers who have already set up facilities in India, please contact Manufacturers' Association of Information Technology Industry (MAIT); Dr. Lakshmi Raghupathi at MAIT (if she is still advising them) may be able to give you sufficient information on the status of this industry in India.

All the best to you,

With kind regards,

Ramakrishnan

Hello all,

Thank for your precious comments, Actually, i am going to recycle and recovery most of the things which can easily and comes in my budget, because in starting i can't spend lots of money so i am just trying to install that project at a medium scale but after getting a big and positive success, i will make it a very big scale, because now i am busy with my Phd so i can't spend much time.

So, just i want to know about any person, which can help me out in a way that i can further start this project in very effective way.

I want to clean this earth in every way (Solid, Liquid, E-waste) so i need your blessings, support.

THANK YOU ALL,

-manish

Dear Manish,

Please send me your email address so that I can give you Dr.  Lakshmi Raghupathi's email address.  I cannot give her email address in a public forum.  I am sure I will have your understanding.

Thank you..........

i can understand...

plz mail me her email address at manish.biologic@gmail.com.....

Thank you,

Dear Manish,

First you have to look in to the rules, get consent to establish from PCB and proceed as foe any chemical enterprise. Remember you have to compete with general waste dealers who have an excellent collection system based on garbage collectors. Hence collection from large generators alone will be feasible. You have to establish a recovery trail for valuable things and should have an agreement with TSDF. WEEE ruel si attached for your reference

West wishes.

Although there isn't a lot of input I can provide, let me congratulate you for the decision. There is good potential in the field. Wishing you the best!
