hello sanjeev,

now the time has come that we start doing this good work of making compost from bio-sludge as we dont have enough land to do landfill and this would be the best work to save our environment.

The process is simple, you have to use good bacterial solution which can biodegrade the organic matter.

The use of inoculam depends on the characteristic of Bio-sludge. Further if you have some residual concentration of heavy metals then you have to carry out vermicomposting process after pre-composting to remove the contaminants.

You can mail me your sludge characteristics. We had proposed a process to your Ankleshwar unit which i don't think they have thought to carry forward.

Pl clarify- ETP means - Electrolytic Tin Plating

Effluent Treatment Plant

Thank you sir, i will get back you with the testing report of bio-sludge.

Hi Sanjeev,

I would like to suggest that you carry out aerobic composting using microbes, but with a difference. You need to provide the right 'environment' for the microbes to thrive. Most people feel that dumping microbes into a compost heap would result in composting. It often does not. Composting is a science and you need to understand it. You need to keep in mind 2 very important facts: right moisture (starting moisture should be between 60-70%) and plenty of aeration. There are several ways you could create aeration without incurring much cost like adding broken pipes, cut tyres etc. Judge the direction of the wind and make your windrows perpendicular to the same. Let us know if you need detailed suggestions. We are also manufacturing very advanced microbes in collaboration with Biosa, Denmark at our factory at Dehradun. Our website is www.cloverorganic.com.

If you plan to add compost to non-food agriculture - like parks and forests - you dont need to really remove heavy metals from it. There are various companies carrying out metal mining from sludge - call them and earn some more money!!

Take care and happy composting!!

Dear Mr. Sanjeev

There are different ways to compost bio-sludge. One way is to use bio-composter / digesters commercially available in the market. One brand which is known to me is wonderlite. You may opt to try composting of bio-sludge along with food waste and agriculture waste. You need to do error and trail for this purpose and get manure analysed for final properties. Best of luck.

thanks.........

Dear Sir,

If you are engaged in consultancy and imparting technology for the same o visit Asian paints ltd kasna greater noida my no is -0120-2344108
