Adequacy assessment of Effluent treatment plant

Dear All, I want to know that how to carry out adequacy assessment for effluent treatment plant. Is there any specific methodology by CPCB or any governing bogy.Plz suggest methodology to carry to this study.

You can take the dimensions and capacities of each of the treatment units of the ETP and assess them with the effluent in question.

you may have to look into the removal of pollutants both by design and by coincidence for each of the treatment unit of the ETP and systematically assess the capacities of individual units.

before suggesting any solution , i would like to to know, are going to assess an existing ETP?. whate is meant for adequacy , is it performance assessment in term of reduction COD BOD.

if your objective is performance assessment,,,,, collect sample after each components and analyze it for your desired components. the obtained results will help you to assess the performance of the ETP system and will tell you, what measure are needed

dear sir i am going to  assess adequacy of existing ETP. Performance assessment i can do based on removal of parameter from each unit. but i want to carry out adequacy first.

you can calculate the volume of various treatment units along with the detention time offered to each unit, the sum of hydraulic loading/sum of detention times offered should be within the total hydraulic loading rate (flow rate)
