It is understood that 12% oc CO2 correction is applied in reporting stack emissions even for thermal power plants and cement industries.

Is anyone can provide or inform about such legal or statutory requirement document.

arre Jain sahab yeh kya le baithe! you know WHY this is done?  Simple-  as we climb the stack for monitoring, our frinds simply use to open the gates of fresh air. The result? persons like me, who in the good old days use to carry out gas analysis use to get 20% oxygen in  flue gas - and got a proper dressing down from our professors.

Soon, however, the cat was out of the bag. So what was to be done?  just normalize the results to an ideal combustion catching at 12% CO2.  alas, howevver, we have carried out this "tradition " in proceses that actually produce CO@ aka lime kilns in paper industry!

Thanks for a prompt response but  question is regarding statutory document spl reference to power plant.
