It's a tough call, brother! Did people in Lord Rama's time actually burst crackers that cost Rs 1000? all through the night? until the whole air was filled with smoke and the ground with trash? People have no idea what their ACTUAL traditions are! Lord Rama would never sanction such a trashy reception for His glorious victory. Firecrackers are not a vice, the excess is a vice. They could be made in limits, with safer materials, and ecofriendly methods. Bringing back the spirit of Diwali means to listen to what Lord Rama would really have wanted for Diwali.. Lasting peace, prosperity and joy in His wonderful kingdom.. :)
