About me

I recently formed my new social enterprise- Ladybird Environmental Consulting. I formed an all women team from diverse social backgrounds and plans to interface with corporates and NGOs in the CSR and Sustainability domain. I am an environmentalist with specialization in education, I have worked with NGOs and corporations on various platforms during my 21-tenure at BNHS. I pioneered corporate volunteering programmes and CSR initiatives at BNHS and developing management modules for NGOs. I hold a doctoral in Entomology from University of Mumbai and attended Boston University during my Hubert Humphrey Fellowship programme in 2009 and University of Montana during Fulbright Fellowship in 2003. I won the U.S. State’s Alumni Innovation Engagement Fund in 2012 where 152 NGO professional from 92 NGOs across the country with provided with management training. I won this award again in 2014 wherein I plan to develop mobile apps for climate change studies. I regularly conduct workshops on Grant Writing and Fund Raising. I am online visiting faculty for leadership class at Boston University. Besides my professional experience I am the first female entomologist in India to study moths. I am currently writing book on Indian Moths and has published papers on my work in Maharashtra.
