About me

An environmental professional and working as a Research Professor, in the Deptt. of Civil and Env. Engg. Yonsei University, South Korea. I completed my PhD in Environmental Engineering from India's premier technological institution, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Roorkee (Thesis title: Process integration for water management in pulp and paper industry). I have more than six years research, consultancy/industrial and teaching experience in the various areas of environmental science and technology. In the past, I worked at Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea, as Post-Doctoral Fellow ; at Amity Institute of Environmental Sciences, Amity University, Noida , India, as Assistant Professor and founder coordinator ; at Ramky Enviro Engineers Ltd, Bhubneswar, India, as Environmental Engineer; at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, as Senior Research Fellow and Junior Research Fellow; at Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute ( formerly RRL) Bhopal, India, as Project Assistant, I hold two master degrees in Environment; M. Sc. in Environmental Biology and M. Tech. (Hon.) in Energy and Environmental Management. I have 14 journal articles, 16 conference papers/presentations, 2 books, 1 book chapter to my credit. I am UGC-NET qualified and recipient of senior research fellowship award of MHRD,Govt.of India. I also received Brain Korea-21 postdoctoral fellowship from ministry of science and education, South Korea. I am an active reviewer of Journal of Cleaner Production and Environmental Technology. My present research interests encompass membrane filtration technology for waste water treatment and air separation; process integration; environmental impact and risk assessment/EMP; microbial fuel cell; nutrient removal; Energy and environment management and climate change; Clean Development Mechanism; Water pinch technology etc. My hobbies are writing poem, essay, story and social work.
