UNCONVENTION 2010 - Where path breakers meet path makers!

Unconvention 2009 (www.villgro.org/unconvention) was a grand success and we would like to continue to foster the innovation and social entrepreneurship eco–system through this event.

* THE SUMMIT 09, the conference, hosted over 250 delegates from across the globe and had panels chaired by over 60 eminent dignitaries, addressing a variety of topics in the social entrepreneurship ecosystem.
* WANTRAPRENEUR 09, the business plan competition, received an impressive 77 applications from the Agri, Dairy, Water and Energy categories.
* INNOHUB 09, the innovation fair featured 20 innovators who got the opportunity, to exhibit their innovations and meet interested entrepreneurs, over 60 meetings one-on-one meetings were facilitated.
* VILLGRO AWARDS 09, recognized innovators and other stakeholders in the innovation and social entrepreneurship ecosystem receiving 19 nominations across 7 categories.

Unconvention 2010, scheduled between 3rd and 4th December 2010 at Chennai, India, will comprise of the same components as last year. The newest addition to the event, based on feedback from last year’s event, is the INVESTOR FORUM. This platform will provide an opportunity for investors looking for deals in the sector interact social entrepreneurs looking for investments.
