SUMMARY:Training Course on Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management
DESCRIPTION:The National Institute of Disaster Management (Ministry of
  Home Affairs) is conducting a five day \"ToT programme on Climate Cha
 nge and Disaster Management\" from 10-14 January 2011 at NIDM Campus, 
 New Delhi. The programme aims to build the capacity of officers to man
 age disasters associated with climate change and the various preparato
 ry, mitigative and adaptive plans required addressing the issues. The 
 course is open to be attended by nominated Senior/middle level Officia
 ls from state /district administration and various line departments su
 ch as Animal Husbandry, Rural Development, Agriculture, Revenue, Irrig
 ation, Drinking Water, etc. who are likely to play crucial roles in di
 saster mitigation, preparedness, response, relief and management in di
 fferent states.\nThe travel expenditure of the participants shall be b
 orne by the nominating agency while the boarding and lodging arrangeme
 nt will be made by NIDM.\nFaculty members/teachers/scientists in the a
 cademic/training institutes of the University department of Environmen
 tal Science/Geography/Social work/Economics and Forest Training/Resear
 ch Institute, State Rural Development Institute, Water & Land Manageme
 nt Institute at States/UTs, and other research institutes of CSIR, ICA
 R, DST, ICMR, can attend the course. There is no course fee.\nNominati
