Event Description

I am pleased to inform you that TERI-GRIHA and Sustainability Initiatives (a non-profit organization in Pune) are organizing a two-day conference for the Western Region of India- i.e. Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat. The conference is called "Towards Urban Sustainability- the GRIHA approach". I believe that it is an excellent opportunity for professionals as well as students for having an insight into a holistic picture about urban sustainability issues and policy, connecting it to the project level. It is also an excellent opportunity to connect to various fellow professionals, consultants as well as service providers in sustainability and green buildings.

Dr. Pachauri- the Director-General of TERI and a Nobel Laureate will be the keynote speaker for this event. State level secretaries and ministers of energy, ecology, environment and urban development will also join us for various sessions and panel discussions. The sessions will cover topics from broad level policy on national, state and city level; to specific project level case studies. A site visit to a GRIHA rated project will also be conducted for the benefit of participants and interaction.
