SUMMARY:Residential training on communicating climate change for devel
 opment for NGOs
DESCRIPTION:Centre for Science and Environment’s\nCLIMATE WEEK\nA M
 eeting of Minds\n \n \nFebruary 19-21, 2018\nNimli, Rajasthan\n \nÂ
\nCommunication training for NGOsRound Table on climate change adap
tation \n \nClimate change is real. Despite all the recent brow-bea
ting to the contrary, most notably by the Trump administration-led US,
it is here to stay – and the developing world (including India) is
facing the brunt of its impacts. Acute water stress, heat waves and dr
oughts, extreme rainfall events, storms and flooding... the list of di
sasters is growing every year. How is the Global South coping with it?
Are climate adaptation interventions working?\n \nCentre for Scien
ce and Environment (CSE) invites you to join its residential training
for NGOs and Round Table meeting on climate change and adaptation. T
he initiative is expected to bring together climate change specialis
ts, grassroots workers, communicators, and adaptation scientists and p
lanners to discuss ground-level scenarios and strategies, understand h
ow new media and communication tools can sharpen these strategies, and
  find some long-lasting solutions.\n \nThis three-day programme would
be conducted as a residential programme at CSE’s Anil Agarwal Envir
onment Training Institute (AAETI) campus in Nimli, near Alwar, in Raja
sthan.\n \nCSE will support the cost of the training and accommodatio
n in Nimli, and will offer a few scholarships to deserving candidates.
It will also make the travel arrangement from Delhi to Nimli for this
event, and bear this travel cost as well.\nFor more details and regis
 tration, please see\nhttp://www.cseindia.org/node/7219/ ;\n\nFor more
