Probiotics have been used successfully for reducing energy consumption in sewage treatment, reducing cost in soil remediation, converting hazardous waste into non-hazardous waste (thereby reducing the cost of disposal), mosquito control, organic farming, cleaning water bodies and many more. Two experts in the field Dr. Sivaramakrishna Pillai (CEO, SCD Probiotics LLC, US) and Dr. Margarita Correa (Probiotics expert, Auroville) will take us through various cost effective and energy efficient (climate change savvy) applications of Probiotics in day-to-day industrial operations, especially those related to wastes, effluents etc.
