Greetings !

It is my pleasure to announce that Department of Chemical Engineering, MNIT Jaipur (NIT Jaipur) is going to organize an International Course on “Physical-Chemical Processes for Water and Wastewater Treatment” from 21st-26th August 2017, under GIAN scheme (www.gian.iitkgp.ac.in) of Government of India. The course participants include engineers, researchers from manufacturing, service and government organizations, students at all levels (B.Tech/MSc/M.Tech/PhD) and faculty from reputed academic and technical institutions. The areas to be covered:

• Introduction to water and wastewater treatment

• Surface and ground water quality issues in India

• Reaction kinetics, mass balance and ideal reactors

• Treatment trains and preliminary treatment unit operations

• Rapid mixing, coagulation and flocculation systems

• Sedimentation, filtration systems
