DESCRIPTION:Dear Sir/Madam,\n \nGreetings from TERI!\n \nUrban areas
  in India are facing severe water crisis. An increase in urban populat
 ion by 32% since 2001, has posed increasing stress on the existing wat
 er supply and distribution infrastructure. In addition to this, Climat
 e change impacts are supposed to be further aggravating the crisis, in
  terms of temporal distribution of water availability. In such a scena
 rio, integrated efforts are required to build the resilience of citize
 ns and the cities, to changing climate and associated risks. In fact, 
 a radical reform in our attitude towards water management has become a
  necessity.\nIn purview of this, a special event is being organized co
 llaboratively by TERI and Monash University, Australia on 'Building cl
 imate resilient cities: responding to the emerging water crisis' on 30
 th January 2013 at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi during Delhi Sustainabl
 e Development Summit (DSDS) 2013. The aim of the workshop is to identi
 fy the issues and challenges for water crisis existing in urban areas 
 and outline the strategies needed to make the Indian cities resilient 
 to climate change impacts.\n \nWith yours experience on the subject, 
 we cordially invite you to participate in the workshop and enrich the
