Inview of the recent news: Monsanto accepting it's BT Cotton failed pest control tests.
It vindicates the stand taken by Ramesh that the Monsanto technology needs to be further evaluated for safety aspects. It is a first principle while accepting a technology, it should be well proven and if it is a new technology, all aspects should be evaluated before implementation. In this case, it is the food chain, which is the most vulnerable; a due care has to be taken.

I therefore, salute Jairam Ramesh for his unbaised and prudent decision taken after evaluating and interacting with one and all.
