Dear all,
One again the human soiety at the door step of Dangerous death?
as the recent sunamy of japan questions us again?is the destructive Nuclear power palnts are really needed by the human beings?
now how to solve this problem of radiation. what are the experts opinion on this i want to now?
what are the measures taken by the indian govt to protect our n-plants.
in the name of development we (human beings) spoiling & destorying the natural resources and restroying all other fellow spices.
why cant we go for solar & wind energy and all other natural energies.
Comment
Yes, we do need nuclear power plants!
But what we don't need - these projects in active seismic zone!
Data from the Geological Survey of India shows that between 1985 and 2005, there were 92 earthquakes in Jaitapur (location of proposed 9900 MW nuclear power plant). The biggest earthquake in Jaitapur recorded in 1993, measured 6.2 on the Richter scale.
I don’t know if these data are correct or not but for sure Jaitapur area falls in the Seismic Zone III-IV category, which is Moderate to High Damage Risk Zone.
Meanwhile, there are several reasons not to go for solar & wind energy and all other natural energies completely. You know the climate change :-)
Dear Fasi,
Your concern is appropriate in the event of latest tragedy in Japan. But as we know every activity has both positive and negative aspects. if we fear for negative aspects that would arise then we remain where we are. Only thing what we have to do is learn from the disastors. because natural calamities are unstopabble
Now a days research is going on that even activities driven by solar energies are also causing some problems.
Out Mother earth has got its own ability to reorganise itself wheneven human greed on natural resourses increses beyond the limit.
