Dear Debashish thanks for your comment. I do not know the exact difference between IBAT and BROA. As you are aware about IBAT you can compare them. BROA is a  tool developed by Earthwatch Institute, Fauna & Flora and Tropical Biology. Secondary data (maps, toposheets, research papers, etc) are collected from all sources in phase one. This is a very participatory tool where all stakeholders related to the landscape are consulted.  Thereafter, a thorough survey of the landscape is conducted by the implementing agency and its conservation partners. Based on the evidences risks are prioritized and action plans are prepared for implementation (supported by budget). In case you are interested to know please download the BROA Handbook it has detail information.

How different is it from IBAT? What is the source of biodiversity related information e.g. databases and maps? How and at frequency does it get updated as per the IUCN lists?
