But we know them & see them in movies & museums

 

There are many animals that are endangered slowly moving towards extinction

The predominant activity being human interference with their habit & habitat

Dear All, Continue

Applied Environmental Research Foundation, Pune is working towards development of forests & biodiversity in western ghat areas. As a moral responsibility, lets contribute them to develop forest area which is rapidly declining in India due to various anthropogenic activities. Let it be a very little amount but definitely if we put our hands together i think it will definetely make a huge difference.

water is one of the most precious natural resource of our mother earth. During this monsoon we have to harvest the rain water so as not to deplete our ground water table. Many people are unaware of this. can we all together bring a awareness camp in the villages atlease spending one to two days in a month apart from our routine work atmosphere.

If any one can join this mission, i will be very thankfull. if not also i request them to educate their neighbours…

Dear Friends,

A small suggestion from my end.If we can make an earth hour a success in an year then what will happen if we all together voluntarily swithoff 10-15 minutes of power every day during peak hour.and have a candle light dinner with our family members together. as i have observed in my family itself that we eat at different time watching televison.

This may build relation between our family members and also conserve energy.

Lets make the earth day i.e 27th March by switching off the light from 8:30 to 9:30 voluntarily and join hands with the world for environmental protection

EIA Notification 2006 has provided the generic structure of the EIA report. But after providing the structure in ministry notification is there a need to provide model EIA structure like model TOR for various projects.

After attending meeting one can feel that he should prepare and present his case in a manner acceptable to the person sitting on opposite chair and not as per the EIA structure

The new EIA process in India

exact opinion behind EIA scoping is still unknown. We apply for Terms of Reference along with project details to appraise the project and provide a comprehensive terms of reference for carring out EIA studies. But, it was observed that irrespective of the project / pollution potential etc the terms of reference issued by the Committee remains same. How can this be justified.
