Working as a HEAD- QA/QC & QMS, Execution (Project) in M/s L&T Construction Ltd for the” Hyderabad Metro Rail Project”(HMRP) in Hyderabad (A.P) from 19.10.2011 to Till Date.

The Hyderabad Metro Rail Project (HMRP) is structured as a Public Private Partnership (PPP) Project secured through a Concession Agreement by the Government of Andhra Pradesh on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis their appointed concessionaire is Larsen & Toubro Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited (L&TMRHL).

The Hyderabad Metro Rail Project (HMRP) is a complex rail system undertaking, with a design and construction period spanning many years, it will encompass advanced rail technology and integrated rail systems, heavy civil engineering, management requirements; therefore the approach to the Quality Assurance and Quality Management has to be adaptive to the circumstances under which the project will be delivered, whilst still reflecting the best engineering and managerial standards expected from such a high profile undertaking.

The “Hyderabad Metro Rail Project” involves the design, Procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of the 59 stations and 3 interchange stations, 3 depots, 71.16km length of viaduct system and ancillary facilities. The project works is phase-1 of the long term master plan for development of Metro Rail System for Hyderabad.

Working as a HEAD- QA/QC & QMS & Execution (Project) in M/s L&T Constructions LTD for the ” Hyderabad Metro Rail Project” (HMRP) in Hyderabad (A.P) from 19.10.2011 to Till Date.

My experience in the above positions is including construction management and supervision (roads, bridges and infrastructures), QA/QC Management system (internal and external audits), Quality Control/Materials Engineering for Roads (pavement, asphalt mixes) and infrastructures, Concrete Works (durability of reinforced concrete, & structures construction).

Responsible for the implementation of the company’s quality management system in compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008, and reports any matters directly to the company’s top management.

Involved in research and development of concrete mix designs to meet specifications of projects of construction companies. Managed concrete batching operations to ensure that the quality is as per agreed by the customers and complying to relevant ASTM and BS specifications. Monitored construction sites to ensure that proper handling of concrete is done on site. Addressed customer queries and complaints by providing technical solutions. Prepared reports submitted to the company's management and/or as required by the customers

 Implements the quality compliance assurance program to ensure adherence with the quality standards, specifications, manuals, systems processes and procedures relating engineering and construction execution.

 Monitor and investigates reported quality compliance concern and develops corrective action responses to audits, investigations’ findings and surveillance.

 Check and review all technical submittals (materials, samples, prequalification & shop drawings) from suppliers to conform with the contract specifications and project requirements before submitting to main contractor & client.

 Prepare and review quality control plans and inspection test plan on all related civil works for the project then monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan.
 Coordinate all the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectors and control all non-conformance reports and undertake remedial action.

 Prepare daily logs and reports and maintaining records of tests performed and witnessed.

 Check and monitor materials delivered to site, its storage and reports nonconformities to the Project Manager.

 Coordinate and supervise the structural activities and operations to comply with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.

 Ensure that all inspection reports are accurate and that all attached documents are current status.

 Ensured application of correct codes, standard, engineering and construction practices in the project implementation and execution associated with the client policy as well.

 Provided engineering and related technical advice on construction or related matters, overseeing document control activities.

 Checked and monitored materials delivered to site, its storage and reports nonconformities to the Project Manager.

 Developed and finalized all handing over documents, as built drawings, operation maintenance manuals and systems to the client on the completion stage of the project.

 Reviewed and verified the construction of temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with the contract documents and approved shop drawings and submittals.

 Checked and reviewed all technical submittals (materials, samples, prequalification & shop drawings) from subcontractors & suppliers to conform with the contract specifications and project requirements before submitting to consultant & client.

 Prepared and reviewed quality control plans and inspection test plan on all related civil works for the project then monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan.

 Coordinate all the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectors and control all non-conformance reports and undertake remedial action.

 Monitored records of concrete test results, soil test & others in order to ensure compliant to project specifications.

 Prepared and monitored weekly and monthly quality report to be submitted to the consultant.
 Dealt with the consultants for drawings and materials proposals, approvals and request for information (RFI).

 Oversee the structural works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the applicable codes and standards.

Works Specification and Construction Drawings;

• Conduct in-process inspection of works that will be
covered up and the resulting output cannot be verified
by subsequent monitoring or measurement. Inspection
record shall be maintained;

• Issue all notices of non conformity and shall verify that
Appropriate action has been taken to rectify the defect.
A defective work should not be incorporated without
Employer’s sanction;

• Verify that all notices of non conformity from the
Employer’s Representative have been properly rectified
