About me

Started working on environmental issues when I was a Master student in Sociology from Sambalpur University in 1988. Ever since, have led several activities - starting from grassroots to national level - on water conservation, climate resilience and others. Popularly known as 'Water Man of Odisha" has been awarded with "First Green Hero" by NDTV-Toyota in 2010. A freelancer by occupation, I take up research, policy analysis, documentation, photo feature etc. assignments for my livelihood and run a few voluntary campaigns and advocacy networks around water and climate change.

My Green Mission

To drought proof the drought prone regions of India through ecological models that integrate water harvesting, sustainable farming and forestry; to promote climate resilience in both rural and urban areas; to save our Rivers and water bodies from dying!
