I think environment protection is a communication challenge, not a scientific challenge. Remedies are now well understood but the problem is to make them socially, economically, and politically acceptable. Major initiatives that I'ld take to protect environment includes awareness, knowledge dissemination of natural and built environment, understanding current environmental issues, and use of endogenous knowledge or we can say participatory approach for environment management. We must communicate environmental solutions in terms of people's self-interest if we are going to convince that green solutions not only fit but actually improve their lives.
