About me

Prof. Jaigopal Sharma has been working at the Department of Biotechnology, Delhi Technological University, Delhi, India. He has completed his Masters in Zoology from the Meerut University and Ph.D. from University of Delhi. He went to Kyoto University, Japan as Post-Doctoral Fellow and conducted research in radiation biology. He continued the study in India as a Senior Research Associate (CSIR). Then he joined Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India as Scientist. He is actively involved in various Department of Biotechnology (Government of India) funded National and International Collaborative projects. His areas of interest are Aquaculture, Bioremediation, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants and Nano- biotechnology. He has been guiding M. Tech., Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral students. Prof. Sharma is a recipient of many awards, including two times Young Scientist Award. He is life member of many professional bodies. He has delivered many invited lectures at various workshops and training programs. He has served as subject expert in All India Radio and Indian natioanl Television. He has published more than sixty research papers in reputed peer reviewed journals. He has around two dozen scientific foreign visits in his credit.
