Retired from the Indian Forest Service (2008) as Head of the Forest Department in HP. Have served as trainer and research manager with Govt. of India (Forest Research Institute, Dehradun). Corporate experience as Managing Director, HP State Forest Corporation Ltd. and HP General Industries Corpn. Ltd.

Extensively travelled in India and abroad. Consultant for UNDP and visiting faculty at professional academies and institutes. Now freelancing!

My Green Mission

I firmly believe that the renewable resources that the Lord has so bountifully endowed earth with are meant to be used wisely and well. Conservation - not preservation - is my motto. And conservation is possible, especially in the developing world, only with the active participation of the people dependant upon these natural resources!

Hence my 'green' mission is maintenance and development of our natural resources with the active and willing participation of the primary stakeholders (the villagers).
