About me: I am a climate change policy professional with more than eleven years of experience and an in-depth technical knowledge on, development and implementation and evaluation of projects on climate change and carbon markets. I am leading the carbon market and the forestry work at the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). I led the development of the first internationally approved REDD+ methodology from South Asian region, and world’s first small scale Clean Development Mechanism project. I am an influential public speaker and has represented GIZ India at several national and international policy forms like World Forestry Congress, Innovate4Climate, Asia Carbon Forum, among others. I have written several journal and magazine articles and in 2013 authored a book titled ‘Air Pollution Abatement Through Trees and Subsequent Greenbelt Development’. I am gold medalist from Delhi University and a silver medallist FRI Dehradun.

My Green Mission: Reduce resource consumption and individual carbon footprint and urge others to do so as well. We only have one earth!
