About me

Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Prajapati is working as Assistant Professor in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna (India). Before joining IIT Patna, he was workign as Assistant Professor in biotechnology at NSIT Delhi.



Dr. Prajapati did his B.E in Biochemical Engineering from Kumaon Engineering College (now BTKIT), Uttarakhand in 2008. After obtaining M. Tech in Biotechnology from Anna University, Chennai in 2010, he pursued PhD in “Environmental Biotechnology and Bioenergy” from IIT Delhi (2015). During PhD, he worked towards exploring and integrating algal biomethane production with wastewater treatment. His research was published in several international journals of high repute including Biotechnology Advances, Green Chemistry, Applied energy, Algal Research and Bioresource Technology etc. For his outstanding research during PhD, he has been awarded with prestigious "Distinction in Doctoral Research Award" from IIT Delhi.



He is also acting as Editorial board member for two international journals and reviewers for various journals including Water Research, Energy, Hazardous Material and other journals of biotechnology related fields. He is currently handling two R&D project from SERB, DST as PI/Co-PI.
