About me

I am working as a Senior Research Fellow at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, India. I have submitted Ph.D. to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad in Faculty of Biotechnology from Prof. Ganagagni Rao, CSIR-IICT.

My Green Mission

My research work on the high rate anaerobic process for the treatment of poultry litter, cow dung, food waste and press mud for the generation of methane, volatile fatty acids and bioethanol and technology transferred to Ahuja engineering services (Patent applied) . I have also been carrying out on extensive research work in the area of biological waste gas purification technology. I have developed a laboratory and pilot scale biofilters for the removal of waste gases emanating from drum yard section of Tannery that contains H2S, NH3 and VOC. A full-scale plant based on this work was installed at M/s SAA Tannery, India. In addition to these, I also involved various research works like the removal of ammonia & sulfate in industrial effluents by anaerobic & aerobic processes and antimicrobial activity of synthetic organic compounds. After the extensive effort of multidisciplinary work, I have submitted my Ph.D. thesis on “Design and development of operating strategies for the abatement of inorganic and gaseous organic pollutants through biofilters”. I have published a good number of papers and book chapters in internationally reputed journals & publishers including Bioresource technology, Process biochemistry, Chemical engineering and research design and Springer.
