Water Purification Technology Provider Looking for community based organisations to Partner with

My name is Maysoon Sharif and I have been working on behalf of AguaClara LLC in Jharkhand for more than two years to integrate nonelectric water treatment technologies into overhead tank water supply schemes in villages.

Two of the villages we worked in use our Chemical Dose Controller (CDC), which automatically doses a precise amount of bleaching powder solution based on supply flow rate without using sensors, pumps, or other parts that easily fail or require frequent replacement. While the CDC is running successfully, we have several improvements to the design to make it easier to install and maintain.

We are seeking a community development partner with whom to do a small pilot of our next-generation CDC.

The partner must be willing to take on technical capacity related to installing troubleshooting, and training operators in how to run the CDC. Additionally, we require that the partner is committed to a short period of monitoring the technology in the field to gauge the community's ability to take full ownership of the CDC.

Preferably, we wish to work in communities that already have reliable water supply, but only lack treatment. Our CDCs treat low turbidity waters (less than 5 NTU year round) that are free of flouride and heavy metal contaminants. We can produce CDCs of nearly any size, although for the pilot we would like to test out only one size, meaning the pilot communities should have approximately the same number of households. I am a retired engineer in chief from Bangalore water supply and sewerage board. I am instrumental in putting first municipal waste water recycling plant in India ie in Bangalore in 1998-02. I will be eager to participate in this proposed national seminar. According to me  there is alternate for reuse in urban area for sustainable water supply. I have delivered more than 25 lectures on recycling and reuse.I will certainly contribute a paper.
