Description:

 

ERM in India is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Hydrogeologist/ groundwater modeller based out of Delhi or Mumbai office to support and grow the contaminated site management (CSM) practice.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Undertake groundwater modelling (analytical and numerical models):gather hydrological and geological information; create data sets; prepare database and complete ground water modelling per project specifications using GMS or other modelling interfaces; perform detailed analysis of groundwater flow and contaminant transport using MODFLOW, MODPATH, MT3D/RT3D or other models; perform sensitivity analysis, data needs assessment, calibration, prediction, and uncertainty analysis; and produce technical reports on results.
• Involve with a wide variety of environmental site assessment (ESA), site investigation and hydrogeology projects and proposal efforts.
• Participate in field work (e.g., site investigation, logging, sampling and hydrogeologic test).

 

Requirements:

 

• MS or higher in hydrogeology, hydrology, geology, soil science, environmental science/engineering or similar field.
• Groundwater modeling experience such as MODAEM,MODFLOW, MT3D/RT3D or GMS system.
• Software familiarity: Arc GIS, Auto CAD, GMS (or other modelling interfaces).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent work ethic with strong organization and time management skills.
• Good interpersonal skills combined with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
