Tobacco as a bio pesticdie

Hello there, could anyone tell me whether tobacco leaves in different forms can be used as a "bio-pesticide'? I mean given the fact that tobacco has a negative impact if consumed directly by human, are there any chances that it may also enter into the human food chain if used as a pesticide? Can the product harvested thereof (by using tobacco as a pesticide) be considered as organic?

Yes tobacco can be used as a bio pesticide and it is quite effective. I am not sure if the plant can absorb it. ideally i soak a pinch of tobacco with the ground up paste of 3 really pungent chillies and neem leaves overnight, then squeeze out the residual water mixed with a minute quantity of deterrgent and stale coconut oil mixing it into about 2 liters of water and hand spray on my plants. The spray might have to be done once every 15 days and might be ineffective under constant rain. I mix in some seaweed based foliar fertilizer as well to add value. This keeps of insect pests and the residue waste can be applied into the pots or soil as a deterrent to rodents as the smell lasts for sometime. If it is a raised bed sort of cultivation then the residue could be tied in some cotton gauze as small pouched and occasionally soaked in water and left around the site. Planting hibiscus and chilli plants between crops and flowering plants is also a reasonable deterrent.
