Thermal Power Plants Boon or a Curse?

Now a days there is a lot of opposition from people for establishing a thermal power plant. Is this is only due to pollution problem ???? or political reason ???? or local problem due to some indifferences.

 

what ever or who ever may be the reason the ultimate result in not only a habitat destruction to flora/ fauna or a change in land use but it is also costing human lifes

 

May be is there a necessacity to change the TOR i.e Ministry should also give a TOR like how many people may be killed while constructing and operating a Power Plant.

 

why our politicians are bothered when some mishap like police firing kills a person protesting against the project and why he is not bothered when so many plants / animals etc are uprooted from their lives????? ....................................... Raghava
