I want to store(by purchasing from someone) and trade sulphur 2500 tonnes. Do I need to obtain any clearance/NOC from Pollution Control Board?

Rohit ji,

There is no provision for "Sulphur" storage in  "Manufacture, Storage and Import of Hazardous Chemical Rules, 1989".

In the said rules,  Suplhur containing compounds (Sulphur dichloride, Sulphur dioxide, Sulphur monochloride, Sulphur tetrafluoride, Sulphur trioxide and Sulphuric acid) are mentioned as Hazardous Chemicals but no where "Sulphur" as an element is mentioned.
However please consult with concerned SPCB.

Regards,

Shiv
